This crib has 3 Mattress support levels. The drop side works with the knee. All you do is lightly pull up on the drop side, push the bottom part in with your knee and it drops down. It works with a left and right side plastic track. As for daybed, all you do is remove the front dropside rail. This will leave the left, right and back side.
