The super lightweight shell is made from high impact polypropylene and is fully lined with the same energy absorbing EPS foam used in bicycle helmets to provide superior protection. Deep wings improve safety by helping contain the child in the event of side impact. And the I420 use two separately attached LATCH points. This reduces lateral movement of the seat in the event of a side impact collision.
It’s easy to use to help prevent misuse! Shoulder belt positions are quickly adjusted without unthreading and rethreading the harness. The built-in lock off system means no confusing locking clip is needed. The proper seat angle is achieved by an adjuster located in the rear, which is the accessible portion of a rear facing seat!
The I420 use a 5-point harness that is tightened from the front (the consumer preferred location).
